| 3-Way Miniature Inert Isolation Valve |
|
Designed to control the flow of liquids or gases, this poppet style valve is an ideal choice where high-purity or aggressive fluids are present, such as blood, reagents, alcohol, bleach (sodium hypochlorite), formaldehyde and lye (sodium hydroxide). All surfaces in the flow path are made of inert materials compatible with a wide range of fluids. The body and hose barbs are made of PEEK (Polyetheretherketone) which performs well in high temperature conditions, is biocompatible, and is approved in a wide range of medical applications.
The flow path is isolated from the solenoid by a diaphragm which is also inert. The diaphragm material choices include EPDM (ethylene propylene), FKM (fluorocarbon) or FKM-GF (highly fluorinated fluorocarbon).
This 3-way valve may be used as a selector valve using the common port as inlet, or as a directional control valve, using the normally closed port as inlet and the common port as the working port.
Porting options include ultrasonically welded hose barbs for 1/16'', 3/32'' and 1/8'' I.D. tubing. An optional panel mounting flange is available for bulk-head installations. |
