Inert Proportional Valves
IPV
We offer a 2-way Normally Closed Inert Proportional Valve that produces rectilinear motion which is linearly proportional to the electrical current input. This component is designed to withstand the aggressively corrosive fluids with which biomedical instruments frequently come in contact ranging from human blood and biofluids to bleach and saline solutions.
The solenoid in our inert proportional valve is isolated from the particular medium by means of a diaphragm. Those parts of the valve coming in contact with the medium are made of inert materials such as...
- polyethermide, or polyphenylsulfone for the structural components
- EPDM or fluorosilicone for the elastomers
Other features of our inert isolation valves include...
- a maximum standard pressure of 42 psig
- flow rates of up to 40 slpm of air or similar gas
- coil encapsulation that protects the valve from corrosive external fluid exposure
- suitability for high fluid temperatures of up to 230°F (110°C)
